Economic Observations

It is amazing how quickly people can readjust their expectations with new information.

After selling 24 homes over the last 5 years, there was a reasonable expectation that a home that would be built could expect a certain price. Over the last year, I had a home that was listed for $325,000. I received several offers for $300,000. I was frustrated about the inability for people to see the value. After a year, I lowered the price to $300,000, and received offers for $270,000. Now, I would be happy to accept $300,000. How fast we can lower our expectations. What once made me mad, now would make me happy.

The economy is going through a similar change in expectations.
