This is a story from Tacoma, WA on how 1400 people applied for one meter reading position and because of the silliness of the law, tens of thousands of dollars was spent to fill the position. Political correctness and fairness are bankrupting this country.
I'm guessing government could have found someone out of that group to read meters for $25,000 per year instead of $49,000 plus benefits.
